Horizon Prep’s 21^st Annual Spirit Run

For the past 20 years, Horizon Prep students and families have raised over $800,000 for those in need through the Spirit Run. The Lord has used our hands and feet to clothe, feed, and care for people in the name of Jesus, and we will be lacing up our sneakers to run again on Friday, March 20th!

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

In Deed and Truth (South Sudan)

Horizon Prep has been supporting "In Deed and Truth Ministries" for over 20 years.  The critical and life-saving work that they are doing through their hospital and maternity ward has saved thousands of lives and provides essential medical services in rural South Sudan.  The money raised through the Spirit Run will help to restock the medications in the clinic for another year. For more information about this incredible organization, please visit their website or check them out on social media.

Mercy Ministries Foundation (Thailand & Cambodia)

Horizon Church has been a key partner for over 30 years supporting the school and orphanages operated by Mercy Ministries Foundation (MMF) in Thailand and Cambodia. The proceeds of this year's Spirit Run will help fund some of the new development projects and support the ongoing costs of the ministry. San Diego Rescue Mission
With the story of the Good Samaritan in mind, Horizon Prep is partnering this year with the San Diego Rescue Mission to come alongside those experiencing homelessness in San Diego. We can all play a role in helping those in need in our community find shelter, food and most importantly, the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Learn more about what they do at www.sdrescue.org

Compassion International

When considering the legacy of the Horizon Prep Spirit Run, child sponsorship has been a major component since the beginning. We are excited to continue our partnership with Compassion International. Every class starting in 1^st grade sponsors a child their age in another country, made possible by the proceeds of the Spirit Run.
